You know this classic game from Atari. Enemy bombs are raining down and you have to destroy them before they hit the base. Touch the screen to launch interceptor missiles.   The MacMost instructions say:

Touch the screen to launch a missile. If an enemy bomb comes into the blast area, it will be destroyed. But the bombs will keep coming, wave after wave, faster and faster. Hold out as long as you can and defend the cities.
