Here's a great game that looks clean and requires you to think and use strategy. The game instructions say:
Officewars is a game about buying low and selling high. When you start a new game, you have the option for 3 different loans each with their own daily interest rate.
Each day the market will present you with a random selection of 8 of 10 office items. Each item has it’s own price range and occasionally, an item may dramatically increase or decrease in price. To buy or sell an item, just tap on it’s name to bring up the buy/sell window.
To travel to a new area, select the travel tab, then the area to visit. As you travel, you may encounter management, shifty employees, tazer dealers, lost patrons and more!
The banking section is where you can pay back your debt and access money from a savings account. Each day, your debt and savings will grow based on your loan/bank interest. You can take out up to $10,000 in loans per day.
Definitely give this game a few minutes until you get the hang of it. I had to play it for about 20 minutes until I fully understood what was going on but it was worth it.
Play for your city and country with a new puzzle every day! I like this Sudoku game because you can chart your iPhone on a map and play for your region.
It's Bejeweled USA-style. This game's simple, swap the tiles to create groupings of three or more to get the highest score possible. There's no timer and no way for the game to end so you can literally play this as long as you like. If you like Bejeweled and are all about US icons then you will probably like Patriot Drop.
Pente is an old school game created in 1978 by Gary Gabrel. It's a modified version of Gomoku that's played on a Go board. This version of pente is on a 13x13 board which works well on the iPhone or iPod Touch.
Your goal is to beat the computer and create a row of 5 stones of your color in any direction. The computer's good though which makes this fun and challenging. I definitely enjoyed this game and will be playing it over and over.
QUBEX is a cool version of Tic-Tac-Toe created by 38i that has 4 3D levels in which you want to create a line in any direction possible. The computer's pretty good though so play slow and think your moves out. It took me a few games to start winning since you can create lines in many directions. Each board is 4x4 so there are a ton of possibilities.
38i has created a smart little logic based game in which you want to move the red ball into the red square. To do this you'll need to create paths using the other colored balls. But - balls can only be moved if they end up touching another one. So you need to be really smart about your moves and don't block or strand yourself.
I really liked this game because it's challenging and makes you actually be strategic in your gameplay. If you think the first few levels are hard it only gets more difficult as you move into the later ones so have fun!
