Ever played Rush Hour? This is a remake of the old classic in which your objective is to pass the blue block through the gates by pressing the arrows. There are 400 levels so this game absolutley has lasting capabilities.
If you don't see arrows on a block you can't move it so you need to make way and then arrows will pop up for you. I liked this game since it makes you think and is actually somewhat relaxing.
This is essentially tetris with a manga picture in the background. But the first level is hard all by itself since the blocks move really fast right out of the gate.
Blocks Touch is another version Tetris from Ds Effects. In this version the blocks move slower and your controls are centered around the pieces as they lower towards the bottom. I like this version more than Blocks Manga since the blocks drop slower...it's just somewhat tricky to click and rotate things while they drop. But if you're up to the challenge have a blast.
That's right, the amazing Bomberman is being brought to your iPhone or iPod Touch by Hudson. The game costs $9.99 and is available through the iTunes App Store. It looks great and plays wonderfully. if you've ever played Bomberman and enjoyed that version you'll love this.
In the game, your goal is to find your way through the various mazes while avoiding enemies and bombing stuff. Definitely read the full instructions first though so you don't get confused and annoyed. Below are a few pics from the Hudson game site.
myHip's created a great game here centered around math. The game instructions say:
Before you begin, be sure to select the difficulty setting and math function that you want. These options are at the top of the page and can only be changed after the game has stopped. The difficulty option shows the range of numbers that the problem can be constructed from, (0-10 means the problem can be from 0+0 to 10+10. To start a session, click on the 'New' button. Enter your name, then click on the 'Start' button to begin answering the problems. To answer a problem, just click on the button under the answer you want. The game will track how many answers you get right and wrong and how long it takes you to get the correct answer (in seconds). You can stop the game at any time by clicking on the 'Stop' button.
Of all the games myHip has - this is definitely in the top 5. Not amazing but if you want to get better at math play this.
Don't be confused by this game! Do the tutorial and it'll make perfect sense. Think of it as playing with a bouncy ball in a box where you want to hit specific tiles on the bottom. Your paddle is the grey transparent circle so be sure and keep it above the ball as it comes back. Also, you'll notice small green lines on the edges which are there to help you gauge how high or low the ball is.
It's nice to see a game that really comes out of nowhere with something fun. This is a great variation on the traditional brickles game.
Brickshooter is a very smart game where you want to shoot bricks from the outside into the center to match up their colors and make them disappear. Keep the center clean so be smart with each move. If you let too many build up without matching the colors you'll lose.
If you're still confused definitely watch the tutorial when you first go to the site. It'll explain and show you how the game works in live action.
Bubble Trouble is a very shiny game that's similar to bejeweled. The site's directions say: Pop the same color adjecent bubbles. Blocks of at least 3 pop. The more bubbles you pop in a tap, the more points you get. What I like about this game is the animations, how smooth the gameplay is and how professionally it was made. If you ever played Bejeweled you'll understand this game in no time....even still though the concept is easy. As soon as you're out of moves more blocks will appear thus sucking you into the game for hours on end. :)
Your objective in Calc 10 is to take the four numbers you've been given and make the calculate up to ten. You can utilize traditional math to make it happen so go slow and be precise. If you're stumped just hit 'Solution' and the game will show you the right calculation....and then give you a set of four new numbers. If you're a math person you're going to love this game.
